The House G.H. Martel & C° was founded in 1869 by a small grower and Champagne Maker from Avenay Val d’Or, a small town a few miles from Epernay. Nowadays, the personality of G.H. Martel & C° is based on the know-how of the Rapeneau family, which has been involved in making Champagne for four generations. Cellar-master and oenologist, Christophe, Bernard’s younger son, now runs the House, while his older son, Jean-François, takes care of the sales development of the brand. Come and discover our cellar-museum and chalk quarries listed as a UNESCO Heritage during a guided tour followed by a comparative tasting of 3 Champagnes. During the tasting, the blends of our Champagnes will be highlighted by tasting comments and suggestions for food and wine pairings. We will remain at your disposal to answer any questions you may have.
